Tie between Mons and Antwerp (70-70)
Yesterday, Mons welcomed Antwerp at the Diamonte mons.arena in front of a small audience.
After a quick start for Christophe Beghin’s team (7-21 after 10′), Mons had reduced the deficit at halftime (30-40 after 20′).
With only 5 minutes to go, the gap was only 1 (60-61 after 35′) and the game ended up in a tie (70-70). Both team decided that the overtime would not be played.
For Mons, Auston Barnes was the top scorer with 22 points. The newcomer Jabril Durham added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
For Antwerp, Vrenz Bleijenbergh was the top scorer with 17 points (3/4 3’s). Ibrahima Fall Faye scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Antwerp played without Jalen Jenkins, Stephaun Branch and Kenneth “Speedy” Smith.
